McGee Wedding   Elizabeth McGee, BS ’12, and Michael Stonaker, BS ’12, of Long Island, N.Y., were married May 27, 2017 at Westbury Manor, Westbury, N.Y. McGee is the social media manager at while Stonaker works as a logistics manager at Pernod Ricard.
OlmsteadMarlin Olmstead, 6, of Morgantown, W.Va., roots on the Mountaineers in their win over Iowa State on Nov. 4, 2017. Marlin is the son of Adrian Kiger and Don Olmstead. Marlin’s grandfather was the late Vaughn Kiger, former president of the WVU Board of Governors and Alumni Association.

Bob Lively, BA, Toms Brook, Va., celebrated his 80th birthday with friends and family Dec. 23, 2017. Lively played linebacker and fullback for WVU football from 1956 to 1961.


Etta Orr Zasloff, MS, Hope Valley, R.I., released a children’s book, “Beginning with Xs and Os: The Evolution of the Alphabet,” that tells a fictional story of the development of the alphabet. She taught public school for 34 years in Marion County, W.Va., before retiring.


Peter Murray, MD, Jacksonville, Fla., was elected president of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery for a one-year term. He is also professor and chair of orthopaedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.


Fran Bennett Clark, BS, MA ’01, Blacksburg, Va., is the new leader for both the Upward Bound and Talent Search programs at Virginia Tech. She previously directed the Upward Bound Program at WVU for 10 years.


Matt Lewellyn, BS, MA ’01, Parkersburg, W.Va., was elected an owner of engineering and architecture firm Burgess & Niple. He is currently senior project manager in the Parkersburg office and oversees transportation projects in West Virginia.


Barbara Laugh, MA, Harrisville, W.Va., was named a National Board Certified Teacher in Literacy: Reading/Language Arts-Early and Middle Childhood. She has taught preschool in Ritchie County for 20 years.


Margaux Kaynard, BA, Atlanta, Ga., was named HR Leader of the Year by the Society for Human Resource Management Georgia State Council. Kaynard serves as a vice president of human resources at Rural Sourcing, Inc.

Joshua Kelly, BS, Richmond, Va., was promoted to partner at Hirschler Fleischer. Kelly focuses on tax planning, estate planning and trust and estate administration. 

Bradley Ridpath, PhD, The Plains, Ohio, released his latest book “Alternative Models of Sports Development in America.” He is a professor in the College of Business at Ohio University.


Matthew S. Russell, BS, Canonsburg, Pa., was promoted to principal at Kacvinsky Daisak Bluni PLLC.


Rani A. Habash, BS, Washington, D.C., was elected partner of global law firm Dechert LLP. Habash advises clients on the antitrust aspects of mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. 


Jamie Barnhart, BS, Fairfax, Va., has been hired as a construction manager at Dewberry’s Fairfax headquarters. 


Joni Deutsch, BA, Charlotte, N.C., will participate in the Online News Association’s 2018 Women’s Leadership Accelerator Program. She was one of 25 chosen from around the world to take part in the program for women pushing digital innovation. She is currently producer for on-demand content and audience engagement at WFAE in Charlotte.
